Hallo, I'm Enrico Stura, and I'ma a scientist. I research on the world of nanotechnology (ain't it cool?) and my main topics of interest are photovoltaic, molecular electronics, energy storage, protein nanostructures, DNA functional devices. But I also love lots of other research fields: organic chemistry, molecular biology... At this point of my scientific life, I'm attracted by nanoparticles and biocatalysis, but who knows what will be tomorrow.

Maybe it's too work-related... let's start it anew. I'm Enrico Stura, and I'm a musician (it sounds somehow lighter, d'ya agree?).
I'm an improviser, most of all, I like to create music, in any forms. Like another guy (much more famous in Italy) said, "It feels good to know that where my fingers end, somehow a guitar begins". I am a fond of Modern Armony Theories (modal scale systems, nondiatonic harmony etc), but I have difficulties to align me in a single musical kind: I love rock, pop, metal, classical, sometimes also electronic, jazz, fingerstyle. As soon as I can, I take a guitar in my hands, and I play, I don't know what.

But it's just one of my passions, and after getting out of Italy I almost stopped playing live (but I continue at home!). So let's say that I'm a coder! A "lonely coder", as someone described me. I'm a nostalgic coder, one of those who like to reinvent the wheel, instead of using the work of other guys, as the normal use of today. When it was more important to think, writing a program, rather than know what others prepared for you. I programmed all this site without using pre-coded phpBB or similar stuff... The first version of this site wrote all infos to binary files, in the old fopen() way. Then, I had to make a step over, now I use ADODB structures...

...But if you are here, probably you saw that I "pretend" to be a photographer.
Not such a good photographer, indeed, but an enthiusiast one. I love to capture beauty (at least, what seems beauty to me), sometimes I succeed, sometimes no. You'll judge watching my photos. When I have a camera in my hands, I wish to be able to revert to the state of a child, when my eyes extatically fixed on curious objects, persons, buildings, animals, when nothing passed unobserved under my eyes. When I didn't even know the word "rethoric".
